Not vanity numbers. How often each book is opened, how far people actually read, whether they finish, and when they turn up.
Written from the numbers on this page
Reads rose 16%: 2 410 in the previous period of the same length, 2 792 in this one. This is not a chance fluctuation.
Reads of “Colores del mar” rose 117%: 132 in the previous period of the same length, 287 in this one.
Most reading happens on Tuesdays, from 21:00 to 22:00.

Your links
Make a separate link for each post, newsletter or poster, and see how many readers each one brought.
A read counts for a link when the book is opened by that very link. The same read is also in the totals above.
Seen the cover, but opened it?
How many times your books' covers appeared in the gallery and on the sites the books are embedded on, and how many times the book was opened after that. A cover counts when at least half of it stays on screen for a second.

Calendar quarters: they do not change with the period chosen above.
1 676 measured sessions, by how much of the book they reached
Readers most often stop at the start: 22% of those who opened the book (372 of 1 676) did not get past the first 10% of its pages.
Sessions that reached the last page
646 of 1 676 sessions. A reader who turns back and forth keeps their furthest page.
Of readers who were signed in
191 of 486 signed-in readers had read one of your books on an earlier day.
“Readers who came back” counts signed-in readers only: telling that a reader who is not signed in has been here before would take a mark kept on their device or a fingerprint of their connection. Your own reading of your own books is left out of it. Every other figure on this screen counts every reader, signed in or not, once a visit. Where they read from is worked out by our hosting provider from the connection, to the city at most; MotusPage itself never reads the IP address.

Seven qualities of each book over the period chosen above, beside your other books (dashes) and other creators' books (dots).
The screen is the real one — the same charts your dashboard draws, with the range control live. The figures are a sample: ours would be a claim about our traffic, and a creator’s are their own.
Each book's card shows its seven qualities beside your other books and other creators' books. When all seven are measured, the card is a polygon; while any is short of data, or the plan does not measure it, the card is drawn as petals, and one line under it says what is missing.
How each quality is measuredReading depth rides on the beacon that already fires at the end of a session, and the hour on the one that fires when a book opens — so none of this costs your reader an extra request. No analytics vendor of ours is involved in any of it, no cookie is set on your reader for it, and nothing here can be resolved back to a person: depth is recorded only to the nearest 10% of a book's pages, and the clock keeps the hour without the date. What you add yourself is a separate matter: on Pro+ and above you may point your books at your own Google Analytics, which does set a cookie on your reader and does so with their agreement.
A city appears only once it has at least 10 reads in a month; below that, its reads stay in the country's total. A reader's IP address is neither read nor kept by the application.
When a book is embedded on another site, only that site's name is kept — not the address of the page, and nothing about the reader.
Reads are counted from each book's first day and kept day by day for as long as your plan keeps them. Beyond that they are deleted, not hidden, and the widest range on your dashboard is labelled with exactly those months.
See what each plan retainsThe period chosen on the dashboard downloads as a PDF report or an Excel workbook — the figures on the screen, in full: every book, every day, the quarters and the rest.
On Pro+, MAX and Enterprise, switch it on beside “Download”: every Monday at 09:00 your time, last week's reads, the change against the week before and the week's sharp rises arrive by email, with a one-page PDF. A week without reads sends nothing.
Publish a book and the numbers start the moment someone opens it — nothing to install, no tag to add, no third party watching your readers.
